Accessories for the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Adventure

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Adventure is an adventure bike suited to everyday journeys as well as weekends exploring by road. The balance between those uses helps set your accessory priorities. Frequent town riding puts the focus on controls and protection during low-speed manoeuvres, while longer days in the saddle make wind protection, foot support and a comfortable riding position more important.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Adventure

• Screens: help deflect airflow once your route leaves town and the miles start adding up. For a Versys-X used on longer outings, a screen is particularly relevant on motorway stretches linking the roads you actually want to explore.
• Protectors: help limit scuffs and damage to the areas they cover during a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They make sense for daily parking manoeuvres, as well as those moments when you are turning or parking at an unfamiliar stop on a weekend ride.
• Footrests: provide support for your feet throughout a day on the road. On the Versys-X 300 Adventure, how your boots sit and where your legs rest deserve attention when short local rides give way to several hours in the saddle.
• Levers: commuting through town means repeated clutch and brake use. Lever shape and finger support matter on a bike that handles stop-start weekday traffic but also takes you out for longer rides, when you spend more time working the controls.
• Phone mounts: hold your phone for navigation when a weekend route takes you beyond familiar roads. On this adventure bike, positioning should leave the instruments visible and the controls unobstructed, so the navigation setup does not get in the way of riding. Set your route before moving off.
