Accessories for the Kawasaki Vulcan S

The Kawasaki Vulcan S brings cruiser style to everyday commuting and relaxed weekend rides. Setting it up for town calls for different priorities from preparing it for longer days on the open road. Your riding position, exposure to the wind and the things you need to carry are useful starting points for deciding what earns its place on the bike.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Vulcan S

• Windscreens: help take wind pressure off your upper body once you leave urban streets behind. For a Vulcan S used on longer road rides, they put comfort at sustained speeds ahead of a completely unadorned cruiser look.
• Handlebars and footpegs: let you tailor the contact points that shape your riding position. When your cruiser doubles as weekday transport, comfort on a leisurely afternoon ride needs to sit alongside easy control through junctions and busy streets.
• Crash bars and sliders: help protect against impact during a low-speed fall. They are a practical consideration when weekend outings share the diary with regular parking manoeuvres, garage entrances and turning the bike around in confined urban spaces.
• Luggage: provides carrying space when a short cruise turns into a weekend away. It also makes the Vulcan S more useful for commuting, giving clothing and daily essentials a place on the bike rather than in a rucksack.
• Mirrors: offer a way to personalise the cruiser styling while serving an important purpose in town. For commuting, a clear view of approaching traffic matters more than a particular shape, especially if checking behind would otherwise mean shifting your riding position.

For day rides, focus first on your seating position and wind protection. Carrying capacity becomes more important when overnight stops or a pillion are part of the plan.
