Accessories for the Kawasaki Vulcan S Special Edition

The Kawasaki Vulcan S Special Edition is a cruiser suited to everyday journeys and unhurried rides on open roads. The most useful additions depend on how you split your time between the two. Town riding puts the emphasis on comfortable controls and protection during manoeuvres, while longer outings bring wind exposure and riding posture into focus.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Vulcan S Special Edition

• Screens: a useful addition when your routes extend beyond town onto faster roads. A screen helps reduce wind pressure on your upper body during longer rides. Its height also affects how prominently it sits against the Vulcan's cruiser silhouette.
• Handlebars: bar width and reach influence the position of your arms and shoulders. On a cruiser used for both commuting and weekend outings, that balance matters when steering through tight streets as well as settling into a relaxed posture on country roads.
• Levers: regular clutch and brake use makes these worth considering for urban journeys. The lever shape and distance from the grip affect how comfortably your fingers operate the controls through traffic queues, junctions and repeated stops on the way to work.
• Footrests: longer leisure rides make the support beneath your boots more noticeable. The shape and surface of the footrest contribute to a comfortable foot position, making this a useful area to consider alongside the handlebars when refining your riding posture.
• Crash bobbins and bars: these can help limit contact between parts of the bike and the ground in a low-speed fall. They are particularly relevant when everyday cruiser use involves garage entrances, awkward parking spaces and frequent manoeuvring at walking pace.

For a town-focused setup, controls and protection are sensible priorities. If most of your miles are on open roads, consider the screen, handlebar position and foot support together rather than treating each as an isolated change.
