Accessories for the Kawasaki W800 Special Edition

The Kawasaki W800 Special Edition is a classic-style roadster suited to relaxed rides on country roads, weekend outings and everyday journeys. Accessories for this kind of riding should serve a clear purpose: taking some wind off your upper body, supporting a comfortable riding position or adding protection without overwhelming the bike’s appearance. Your priorities will depend on whether the W800 spends most of its time in town or out on longer rides.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki W800 Special Edition

• Screens: A screen helps deflect airflow away from your torso when a weekend ride takes you onto faster roads. On the W800, it is worth balancing the wind protection you want against the screen’s size and how prominently it sits within the bike’s classic outline.
• Protectors: Everyday town use brings parking and low-speed manoeuvres into the picture. Protectors can help limit damage to the areas they cover during minor knocks or a stationary drop, while their shape and size determine how discreetly they blend into the W800’s styling.
• Mirrors: For commuting and urban rides, a clear rearward view matters alongside the retro appearance. Consider where the mirrors sit in relation to your arms, particularly when your usual journeys involve traffic and lane changes rather than just quiet country lanes.
• Handlebars: If your W800 handles both weekday journeys and longer Sunday rides, comfort at the bars deserves attention. Hand position affects how you hold your arms, so a relaxed riding posture is a more useful priority than changing the look alone.
• Phone mounts: Navigation is useful when a leisurely outing leads onto unfamiliar back roads. A mount gives your phone a place on the bike; on the W800, aim for a position that leaves the instruments visible without making the handlebar area look cluttered.
