Accessories for the Kawasaki Z250

The Kawasaki Z250 is a naked bike suited to getting around town and heading out onto nearby roads. For that mix of journeys, accessories are most useful when they address what you actually encounter while riding, rather than trying to change the bike’s character. In traffic, clear awareness of what is happening behind you matters; during everyday parking and low-speed manoeuvres, a little extra protection can be reassuring. Mirrors and protectors serve those different purposes, making them a practical place to start when considering what to fit to your Z250.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Z250

• Mirrors: whether you are changing lanes in town or joining a faster road, you need a useful view of the traffic behind. Mirror position and shape affect how easily you can take that quick glance while keeping your attention on the road ahead. They also have a visible effect on the handlebar area of a naked bike. For a Z250 used on both commutes and weekend rides, it makes sense to think about the view they provide as well as their appearance.
• Protectors: parking, turning in tight spaces and regular city riding all bring the possibility of a low-speed mishap. Protectors are intended to help reduce damage to the areas they cover if that happens, although they cannot prevent every mark or repair. They are relevant to a Z250 that spends much of its time among traffic, and just as relevant if your usual ride includes winding roads and frequent stops along the way.

Puig is one of the accessory brands available for this model. You can approach mirrors and protectors as separate choices: one concerns your view of the road around you, while the other adds a measure of protection for everyday use.
