Accessories for KAWASAKI ZR7

Kawasaki ZR-7 accessories for commuting and open roads

The Kawasaki ZR-7 is a road-going naked suited to weekday commuting and weekend rides on winding roads. For that mix of riding, it makes sense to focus on wind protection, the position of your hands and protection for exposed areas, rather than treating every change as a styling exercise. Priorities will naturally differ between short urban journeys and longer days out.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZR-7

• Screens: leaving town on a naked bike means spending more time exposed to the wind. A screen helps divert some of that airflow, making it a useful addition to a ZR-7 used for longer stretches of open road rather than just local trips.
• Handlebars: the bar shape influences your reach and the position of your arms and upper body. On a ZR-7 that handles both the commute and Sunday rides, this is a way to refine your riding position for the journeys you actually make.
• Protectors: the naked layout leaves parts of the bike exposed in a fall. Protectors can help limit damage from a stationary tip-over, which is worth considering when your daily routine includes manoeuvring the ZR-7 into tight parking spaces.
• Levers: repeated clutch and front brake use is part of riding through busy streets. Lever shape affects how your fingers rest against the controls, making this contact point particularly relevant if your ZR-7 spends much of its time in stop-start traffic.
• Mirrors: a useful rearward view matters both in urban traffic and when changing lanes on faster roads. Mirrors also stand out visually on the ZR-7's naked outline, so they can change its appearance while retaining an important everyday function.

Treat the handlebars, levers and mirrors as a group when altering your riding position. Moving your hands can also affect how easily you reach the controls and see behind without shifting your body.
