Kawasaki ZRX1200S accessories for road riding and touring

The Kawasaki ZRX1200S suits riders who mix winding-road outings with weekends away and longer trips. Its sport-touring character makes wind protection, riding position and luggage sensible starting points when choosing accessories. Think about where you spend most of your miles: a bike used for short local rides has different priorities from one regularly taking you and a pillion away for several days.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZRX1200S

• Screens: worth considering for motorway stretches between favourite roads, particularly when a ride lasts several hours. Screen shape and height affect how airflow reaches your upper body, so the useful balance depends on your seated position as well as the distances you cover.
• Handlebars: help shape the riding position for a mix of bends and touring miles. Height and width influence your reach and arm position, making this a relevant area to address if long days leave you wanting a different stance at the controls.
• Crash bobbins and bars: intended to help limit damage to specific areas in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They make practical sense on a ZRX1200S used for commuting, with regular parking manoeuvres and frequent stops alongside its longer road rides.
• Luggage: supports the touring side of this Kawasaki by giving your weekend essentials a dedicated place. For two-up trips, carrying belongings away from the seat also means you do not have to use the pillion's seating space for bags.
• Mirrors: useful to consider when your riding takes in both town traffic and open roads. Their position matters when trying to obtain a rearward view without your arms obscuring too much of it, whether joining a main road or changing motorway lanes.

For 2001–2007 ZRX1200S models, plan your setup around a typical journey rather than an occasional one. Add touring capacity where you need it, especially if a pillion regularly comes along.
