Accessories for the Kawasaki ZX-7R

Winding roads and occasional track days are natural territory for the Kawasaki ZX-7R. As a sports bike, it calls for a considered approach to riding position, protection and maintenance rather than a focus on carrying luggage. If yours also handles everyday journeys, comfort in traffic and a useful rearward view deserve attention alongside the demands of weekend rides.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZX-7R

• Handlebars: hand position affects how you support your upper body on a sports bike. Changes here can help tailor the riding position to focused road riding or make it less demanding when your ZX-7R also spends time on urban journeys.
• Mirrors: a clear rearward view matters when joining a motorway or changing lanes in town. For a ZX-7R used beyond weekend rides, being able to see behind you from your normal riding position is more useful than appearance alone.
• Protectors: these help limit damage to the areas they cover in a fall or scrape. They are worth considering for a sports bike that is regularly manoeuvred into parking spaces, as well as one that sees track-day use.
• Stands: a workshop stand makes cleaning and maintenance between rides easier to manage. If you take your ZX-7R to a circuit, it is also useful for supporting the bike in the garage while you take a break between sessions.
• Exhausts: an exhaust can change the visual finish and sound of your sports bike. When using the ZX-7R on both road and track, road-use approval and the circuit's noise limits both need to be part of the decision.
