Accessories for the Kawasaki ZXR400

The Kawasaki ZXR400 is a sports bike suited to winding roads and time on track. Choosing accessories for it is largely about the riding position, protection and keeping the bike ready for your next ride, rather than adding luggage capacity. If yours also handles everyday journeys, those sporting priorities need to sit alongside the practical demands of regular road use.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZXR400

The riding controls, protection and equipment for looking after the bike between outings are sensible places to start with your ZXR400.

• Handlebars: where your hands sit matters on a sports bike, particularly when switching between town riding and more committed cornering on open roads. Handlebar accessories let you adapt this contact point as part of setting up your ZXR400's riding position.
• Protectors: a low-speed fall can disrupt a weekend ride or cut short a track day. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover, making them worth considering for a ZXR400 that sees regular road or circuit use.
• Stands: a suitable stand supports maintenance work while the bike is stationary. For a ZXR400 that you prepare between weekend outings, or spend time working on before a track day, this is useful workshop equipment rather than an on-road addition.
• Suspension: suspension response plays an important part in how a sports bike behaves through a sequence of bends. This category deserves attention when setting up your ZXR400 for winding roads or a riding routine that includes more time on circuit.

Choosing parts for your ZXR400's year

The ZXR400 has changed over the years, with 1991-1995 and 1996-2000 versions distinguished here. Parts should not be assumed to fit both versions. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours, rather than treating every ZXR400 part as interchangeable.
