Accessories for the Kawasaki ZZR1100

The Kawasaki ZZR1100 is a sports tourer suited to winding-road rides and longer journeys alike. That combination makes riding position, luggage and road manners useful starting points when choosing accessories. Weekend rides on your own call for different priorities from a week away with a passenger, so it pays to think about how you use the bike. The range includes accessories from Puig, Öhlins and SW-Motech.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZZR1100

• Handlebars: The relationship between your hands, arms and upper body becomes particularly noticeable during long days in the saddle. Handlebar components are worth considering when refining your riding position, with the aim of balancing comfort on longer roads and control through bends.
• Mirrors: Journeys that mix motorways with winding roads make a useful rearward view important. Well-positioned mirrors help you keep track of following traffic before changing lanes or planning an overtake, whether the ZZR1100 is carrying luggage or heading out for a day ride.
• Protectors: Touring involves fuel stops, unfamiliar parking spaces and low-speed manoeuvres with luggage on board. Protectors can help limit damage from scrapes or minor knocks in the areas they cover, adding a practical precaution for these less glamorous parts of a road trip.
• Suspension: On a sports tourer, suspension matters both for composure through bends and comfort over a full day's riding. This category deserves attention if you regularly alternate between solo outings and trips with a passenger, where the load on the bike differs.
• Luggage: Cases give you somewhere to carry clothing and touring essentials without wearing a backpack throughout the journey. They become especially useful for overnight stops or two-up holidays, when you need room for a passenger's belongings as well as your own.
