Accessories for the Kawasaki ZZR1200

Long road rides and weekend trips suit the Kawasaki ZZR1200’s sport-touring character. Choosing accessories is about balancing comfort over distance with the control you want on winding roads. A bike used mainly for day rides calls for a different approach from one regularly taken away with a pillion and luggage, so the most useful additions depend on how much touring you actually do.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki ZZR1200

• Handlebars: On longer journeys, your hand position and reach to the bars become important parts of riding comfort. Handlebar accessories deserve attention when setting up the ZZR1200 for distance, while retaining a riding position that also works on twisty roads.
• Protectors, crash bobbins and crash bars: These parts help limit damage to the areas they protect from knocks or a stationary drop. They make particular sense on a touring ZZR1200 regularly manoeuvred into parking spaces during fuel stops, overnight stays and breaks along the route.
• Stands: A secure support is useful for a sport-tourer between trips as well as when parked. Depending on the item, stands and related supports serve parking or maintenance needs, helping when you clean the ZZR1200 and prepare it for another weekend on the road.
• Cases: Once a day ride becomes a longer trip, space for clothing and personal belongings takes on greater importance. Cases are a practical addition for touring on the ZZR1200, particularly with a pillion, when you need to organise luggage for two rather than pack just for yourself.

For day rides, focus first on your riding position and protection. If multi-day touring is a regular part of your riding, give luggage capacity and how you distribute the load more attention.
