Accessories for the Keeway Sixties 125

The Keeway Sixties 125 is a retro-style scooter suited to getting around town and making everyday journeys. Frequent stops, low-speed manoeuvres and time spent parked all shape the way it is used. That makes accessories for comfort on the move, protection during daily use and security when you leave it unattended particularly relevant. It is worth thinking about your usual route as well as what happens at the end of it.

What riders usually fit to the Keeway Sixties 125

The choices below address familiar parts of scooter riding: changing wind conditions, tight parking spaces and the need to leave the bike while you get on with your day.

• Protectors: Town riding often means manoeuvring between parked vehicles or easing into a narrow space. Protectors are intended to help look after the areas they cover if there is a minor knock during those moments. They make particular sense when your Sixties 125 is used for errands that involve parking and setting off several times in one trip.
• Windscreens: A windscreen can take some of the direct airflow away from you when a journey continues beyond slower streets onto faster urban roads or a nearby road out of town. That may be welcome on a chilly morning commute. Think about the shelter you want for the journeys you actually make, rather than treating every ride across town as a long-distance trip.
• Security locks: Commuting, studying and shopping can all mean leaving the Sixties 125 out of sight for a while. A lock adds a security measure during those stops, whether you are stepping into a shop or leaving the scooter while you work. Making it part of your parking routine is especially useful if your route includes several destinations.

Where you ride and where you park most often will help you decide whether wind protection, protection for the bike or security deserves attention first.
