Accessories for the KTM 1050 Adventure

The KTM 1050 Adventure suits riders who mix road touring and weekend trips with occasional easy trails. Those different days out call for different priorities: luggage and wind protection matter on long motorway stretches, while protection and secure footing become more relevant when the route leaves the tarmac. Start with how you actually use your Adventure rather than fitting everything at once.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1050 Adventure

• Luggage: carrying clothes and overnight essentials on the bike keeps them off your back during longer tours. On the 1050 Adventure, plan your luggage around solo or two-up travel, allowing for the narrower tracks and confined parking spaces you might encounter along the way.
• Screens: wind protection deserves attention if your trips involve motorway miles before reaching quieter roads. Your seated posture and sightline help determine what makes sense for sustained road riding, rather than simply choosing the tallest screen.
• Protectors and crash bars: useful for an adventure bike that sees both touring duties and unpaved routes. They can also help protect exposed areas in a stationary tip-over when manoeuvring with luggage, although no protection can prevent every kind of damage.
• Foot pegs: long periods seated on the road and standing on easy trails place different demands on your footing. For mixed riding, the support area and grip against your boots are more meaningful considerations than a purely cosmetic change.
• Phone mounts: keep navigation directions visible when exploring unfamiliar roads. For touring, position the phone where it does not obscure the instruments or interfere with steering, so the cockpit remains practical throughout a full day on the bike.

For two-up trips, leave enough room for your pillion to climb aboard and use the foot pegs with the luggage fitted. Distribute the load with low-speed manoeuvres and stops in mind, not just packing capacity.
