Accessories for the KTM 105SX

The KTM 105SX is a motocross bike built for riding away from tarmac. On a dirt track, the priorities are different from those of a bike used for commuting or touring. Rough ground, repeated control inputs and time spent preparing the bike between rides all influence what is worth fitting. Protection, usable levers and a practical way to support the bike make more sense here than accessories intended for carrying luggage over long distances.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 105SX

Think about the whole riding session, not just the time spent on the track:

• Protectors: stones, mud and the occasional fall are familiar considerations in motocross. Protecting exposed areas of the 105SX is a practical priority when the bike is being ridden over dirt and uneven ground.
• Levers: clutch and brake inputs come thick and fast through corners and over changing surfaces. The right levers help keep those controls straightforward to operate when you are adjusting speed or correcting your line.
• Stands and side stands: a stable place to leave the KTM 105SX is useful between sessions. It makes cleaning off mud and looking over the bike before the next ride less awkward than trying to hold it upright as you work.
• Mirrors: these are unlikely to be your first choice for a motocross session. Where you share a riding area with other people, however, a view behind you can be helpful without turning your head as far from the route ahead.

For track-focused riding, start with the parts that address exposure and control, then consider what makes preparation between rides easier. That keeps the 105SX set up around the way you actually use it.
