Accessories for the KTM 1190 Adventure

The KTM 1190 Adventure suits riders whose trips stretch from motorway miles and winding roads to unpaved tracks. As an adventure bike used for both touring and exploring beyond the tarmac, it benefits from a balance of luggage capacity, protection and a riding position that works over a full day.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1190 Adventure

• Panniers: Multi-day trips mean carrying more than the essentials for an afternoon ride, particularly with a pillion sharing the luggage space. Panniers make sense on the 1190 Adventure when weekends away become longer tours with several overnight stops.
• Protectors and crash bars: Worth considering when your routes include loose surfaces or you regularly manoeuvre the bike with luggage aboard. They help shield the areas they cover from knocks and low-speed falls, both relevant concerns when venturing off the tarmac.
• Screens: Long motorway links put wind protection higher on the list than it might be for short local rides. Directing airflow away from your torso can make sustained road riding more comfortable, with your height and seated position guiding the choice.
• Footrests: Foot support matters when you stand up to ride along a track, rather than staying seated throughout the journey. On longer road sections, footrest position also plays a part in how comfortably you can place your legs.
• Handlebars: Hand position needs to work for seated cornering as well as standing on the pegs off-road. For mixed-surface trips on the 1190 Adventure, the handlebar area is worth attention when adapting your riding posture.

Choosing parts for the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 versions

The KTM 1190 Adventure has changed over the years, so the 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 versions should not be assumed to take identical accessories. A part that fits one may not fit the other. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
