Accessories for the KTM 125 SX TPI

The KTM 125 SX TPI is built for riding on dirt, where uneven ground, frequent changes of position and the possibility of a fall shape what is worth fitting. Protection and the controls you use throughout a ride matter more here than luggage or long-distance comfort. If you spend your time training or riding on a track, it makes sense to start with the parts most exposed to contact and those you rely on every time you accelerate, slow down or turn.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 125 SX TPI

For this bike, most useful choices centre on protecting exposed areas and keeping the controls suited to the way you ride. Mirrors serve a different purpose, depending on where you use the bike:

• Protectors: dirt riding brings stones, scrapes and occasional knocks, as well as the chance of dropping the bike. Protectors can help limit the impact on the parts they cover. They are particularly relevant when you want those everyday incidents to cause less disruption to a training session.
• Levers: clutch and brake inputs are part of setting up for corners and managing speed on changing ground. On the KTM 125 SX TPI, the feel of the levers and how readily you can reach them matter when you are moving around on the bike rather than remaining in one seated position.
• Mirrors: these are unlikely to be your first priority for a closed track. They may be useful if the way you use the bike calls for a view of what is behind you. That makes them a choice driven by your riding environment, rather than by preparing for a session on dirt.

Priorities will differ between a bike used mainly for practice and one adapted for other situations. Starting with exposed parts and the controls keeps the focus on what affects your time in the saddle.
