Accessories for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure

Long-distance touring and routes that mix tarmac with tracks are natural territory for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure. This adventure bike suits riders who spend full days in the saddle, sometimes with a passenger and luggage. Accessories should support that use: managing wind exposure, carrying travel essentials and protecting exposed areas when you leave the road.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1290 Super Adventure

• Panniers: useful for keeping clothing and touring essentials organised on a multi-day trip without relying on a rucksack. When travelling two-up, dedicated luggage space also helps you divide the available room between rider and passenger.
• Screens: help reduce wind pressure on your upper body during long motorway stretches. For mixed road and track use, screen height needs to suit your seated riding position without compromising your view of the route ahead.
• Crash bars and protectors: help shield exposed parts in a low-speed fall. They make particular sense when a touring route includes uneven tracks or you need to manoeuvre a loaded bike on loose ground.
• Footpegs: your feet need a secure platform when standing up on tracks, as well as comfortable support over long road sections. They deserve attention if your trips regularly involve switching between seated and standing riding.
• Phone mounts: keep navigation in view on journeys involving unfamiliar junctions, mountain passes and planned stops. You can check the next part of your route while stopped without retrieving your phone from the luggage.

Choosing parts for your Super Adventure's year

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure has changed over the years, and the 2015-2016 and 2021-2023 versions do not share every accessory. Screens, panniers and lighting components are examples of parts that are not interchangeable across all versions. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
