Accessories for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure T

Long days on the road are a natural fit for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure T. This touring-focused adventure bike suits extended trips, whether you ride solo or take a passenger. That makes wind protection, luggage and a comfortable riding position sensible priorities. The most useful additions are those that work together for the journeys you actually make, including any unpaved stretches along the way.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1290 Super Adventure T

• Screens: sustained motorway riding puts wind protection high on the list for a touring adventure bike. Screen height and shape affect where the airflow meets your helmet and upper body, so your seated riding position matters when deciding what will suit long-distance use.
• Panniers: carrying clothing and overnight essentials becomes more important when a day ride turns into a longer tour. On the Super Adventure T, luggage space is especially useful for two-up travel, when both riders need room without filling the passenger seat with bags.
• Protectors and crash bars: loaded manoeuvres and stops on uneven ground are good reasons to consider protection for exposed areas. These accessories can help limit damage from knocks and low-speed falls, particularly when a touring route takes you away from paved roads.
• Footpegs: a secure footing matters over a full day in the saddle. For riders who also stand on the pegs along unpaved sections, the platform and grip deserve attention alongside comfort when seated for longer stretches of road riding.
• Phone mounts: navigation is useful when your tour heads through unfamiliar places. A mount gives the phone a dedicated position for following directions, while thoughtful placement keeps the instruments visible and leaves the handlebars free to move during tight manoeuvres.

For two-up trips, position luggage so your passenger can still reach the footpegs and get on or off without bags getting in the way.
