Accessories for the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT

Long-distance riding and winding roads both belong in the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT’s routine. As a sports tourer, it calls for accessories that balance comfort over a full day with the needs of more involved riding. Wind protection, your position on the bike and protection against everyday mishaps are useful starting points when deciding what to fit.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT

• Screens: particularly worthwhile when a touring route includes long motorway stretches. On the GT, the way a screen directs airflow around your upper body and helmet matters more than height alone, especially over several hours.
• Protectors: help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike goes down. For a GT used on touring holidays as well as weekend rides, they also make sense for low-speed manoeuvres and parking mishaps.
• Levers: adjustable options let you tailor the reach to your hands. That can be useful when a day’s ride moves from steady motorway miles to winding sections where you work the controls more frequently.
• Footpegs: foot support matters both when linking bends and when holding a riding position for hours. Footpeg choice can place the emphasis on a more sporting feel or on comfort during longer journeys.
• Handlebars: hand position deserves attention on a bike used for both touring and twisty roads. Handlebar shape influences how far you lean forwards and the position of your arms and wrists throughout the ride.

Choosing parts for your Super Duke GT’s year

The KTM 1290 Super Duke GT has changed over the years, and the 2016-2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021-2025 versions do not all take the same parts. Screens, footpegs and protectors are examples of accessories that are not interchangeable across every version. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
