Accessories for the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO is a sports naked suited to winding roads and track days. That gives accessory choices a clear direction: managing the wind on longer road journeys, protecting exposed areas and making the contact points work for your riding position. The right priorities depend on how you divide your time between everyday roads and the circuit.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO

• Screens: riding a naked bike means dealing with wind pressure, particularly on motorway stretches between the more entertaining roads. A screen helps redirect some of that airflow, making it a useful addition when your favourite bends are a fair distance from home.
• Protectors: a naked layout leaves parts of the bike exposed. For a Super Duke used on both twisty roads and track days, protective accessories can help limit damage from contact with the ground, although they cannot prevent damage in every fall.
• Levers: comfortable brake and clutch operation matters through a sequence of bends, but also when negotiating town traffic. Lever shape affects how your fingers sit against the controls, making this an area worth considering for mixed road use.
• Footrests: secure footing helps you maintain your position and move with the bike during sporty riding. On a Super Duke that also covers longer distances, comfort through your legs matters alongside the support you want when the road becomes more demanding.
• Number plate holders: the plate mounting area plays a noticeable part in a naked bike’s rear appearance. Alongside indicators, a different holder suits a visually focused Super Duke build rather than one primarily aimed at improving comfort over distance.

For regular road riding, wind exposure and riding position are sensible starting points. When track days feature more heavily, protection and the way your hands and feet meet the bike deserve greater attention.
