Accessories for the KTM 1390 Super Adventure S

The KTM 1390 Super Adventure S is an adventure touring motorcycle suited to road trips, from motorway stretches to winding mountain roads. Long days, luggage and a pillion all shape what is worth fitting. For this kind of riding, wind protection, carrying space and comfortable contact points deserve attention before purely cosmetic changes.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1390 Super Adventure S

• Screens: wind management matters when a touring day includes hours on faster roads. Screen height should suit your height and riding position, giving useful coverage while preserving a clear view ahead. The aim is to make those longer connecting stretches less tiring.
• Panniers: carrying clothes and touring essentials on the bike avoids spending the whole journey wearing a rucksack. When travelling two-up, planning space for both riders and keeping frequently used items accessible makes overnight stops and breaks along the way easier to manage.
• Crash bars and protectors: these can help protect the bike during a low-speed drop. That is particularly relevant when manoeuvring with luggage or finding a parking spot somewhere unfamiliar, both regular parts of travelling on an adventure motorcycle.
• Levers and footpegs: your hands and feet remain in contact with the bike for much of a touring day. Consider how you reach the controls in riding gloves and how your feet sit when switching between relaxed cruising and more involved riding on twisty roads.
• Phone mounts: a mounted phone provides a practical way to follow navigation through unfamiliar places. This is useful on trips with several planned stops; save destination changes and detailed route checks for when you are safely parked.

For two-up touring, start with the space each person needs and the luggage you will actually carry. On solo day rides, wind coverage and comfortable contact points may matter more than extra carrying capacity.
