Accessories for the KTM 1390 Super Duke R

The KTM 1390 Super Duke R is a sports-focused naked suited to twisty-road riding and the occasional track day. Those uses put the emphasis on your contact with the bike: hands, feet and riding position. Everyday journeys bring different priorities, while longer motorway stretches make wind protection worth considering. The most useful additions depend on how those rides fit into your week.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 1390 Super Duke R

• Levers: brake and clutch controls deserve attention on a naked ridden enthusiastically through bends. Replacement levers offer a way to personalise that contact with the bike. Shape and reach matter more to gloved operation than simply matching a colour scheme.
• Footrests and handlebars: consider these together when planning your riding position. A sports-road setup needs supportive footing and a comfortable relationship between your arms and the bars, including on the miles getting to your favourite bends rather than just through them.
• Screens: a useful option when a ride on the Super Duke R includes motorway journeys as well as quieter back roads. A screen aims to redirect some of the airflow reaching your body, rather than turn a sporting naked into a touring bike.
• Protectors and crash protection: exposed areas deserve practical attention if your riding mixes road outings with track days. These accessories are intended to help limit damage from contact with the ground, although they cannot prevent every consequence of a fall.
• Number plate holders: an option for changing the rear-end appearance as part of a sportier-looking setup. For a Super Duke R used on public roads, the finished installation must still meet the applicable requirements for the number plate and its visibility.

For mixed use, separate what you want to change about the riding position from what you need for wind protection or occasional track outings. That gives each addition a clear purpose.
