Accessories for the KTM 250 Duke

The KTM 250 Duke is a naked bike suited to getting around town and enjoying a ride on winding roads. With a 2015 bike, what you fit depends on how you actually use it. A daily commute calls for a different approach from a weekend ride where you need to carry a few extra things. The accessories here address three practical needs: keeping up with maintenance, carrying luggage and adding protection for regular use.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 250 Duke

For this model, it helps to think about what each type of accessory will do on the journeys you make most often:

• Filters: if your Duke spends weekdays in traffic and weekends on the open road, filters are part of the maintenance that supports both kinds of riding. They are worth considering as a service item rather than as a way to change the bike's character. Sprint Filter is among the accessory brands available for this model.
• Luggage: carrying your belongings matters when the same naked bike takes you to work during the week and away for a short trip at the weekend. Cases give you somewhere to put what you need without relying entirely on a rucksack. That makes them particularly relevant if your rides involve more than a quick journey across town. SW-Motech is also among the brands represented for the 250 Duke.
• Crash protection: frequent parking, low-speed manoeuvres and regular road rides all give you reasons to consider protection for the bike. Crash protectors and guards can help limit damage in certain knocks or falls, but they cannot prevent every kind of damage. They answer a different need from luggage: looking after the bike rather than making room for what you carry.

Think about the journeys your 250 Duke makes most often. That will tell you whether storage, protection or a maintenance item deserves your attention first.
