Accessories for the KTM 250 EXC Racing

The KTM 250 EXC Racing is an enduro bike made for riding away from tarmac. On narrow trails and uneven ground, your attention is divided between picking a line, shifting your weight and keeping the bike under control at low speed. That sort of riding gives accessories a particular job: look after exposed areas, make frequently used controls feel right and account for the stretches of road that may connect one trail to the next.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 250 EXC Racing

• Protectors: stones, branches and the occasional low-speed fall are all worth bearing in mind on an enduro ride. Protectors are useful for looking after vulnerable parts of the bike while you focus on navigating ruts and obstacles. They make particular sense when your rides regularly take you over rough ground rather than smooth roads.
• Levers: tight turns, climbs and technical sections can have you working the controls repeatedly. Levers matter here because you need to operate the brake and clutch with a measured touch, often while standing or adjusting your position on the bike. That becomes noticeable over a long session of stop-start trail riding.
• Mirrors: trail riding may be the main event, but getting between off-road sections can mean sharing the road with other traffic. Mirrors become relevant on those links, helping you keep an eye on what is behind you as you move from the concentration of a trail to the different demands of a road.

Across the 2004–2014 years listed for the 250 EXC Racing, it is worth considering how much of your riding takes place on the trail and how much involves road connections. That balance helps put protection, control at the levers and rearward visibility into context.
