Accessories for the KTM 250 SX-F

The KTM 250 SX-F is a motocross bike built for riding on dirt, where ruts, jumps and changing grip shape every lap. That setting calls for different accessories from those you would choose for road riding. Protection for exposed areas, a clear feel at the controls and a practical way to work on the bike between sessions all matter. It is worth thinking about the riding position too: much of a lap involves moving around and standing on the pegs to respond to the ground beneath you.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 250 SX-F

• Protectors: dirt riding brings knocks, flying debris and the possibility of a fall. Protectors are relevant when you want to give vulnerable areas more attention, particularly on rutted ground or while practising sections that test your balance. On the 250 SX-F, their purpose is tied to what happens on the track rather than to comfort over long road journeys.
• Levers: braking into a corner or adjusting your line while standing demands easy access to the controls. Levers are worth considering for the feel you want when making those quick inputs. They are also exposed components on a bike ridden off-road, so it makes sense to include them when thinking about how you prepare your KTM for regular track use.
• Stands and sidestands: time spent riding is only part of a motocross session. A suitable support gives you a practical place to leave the 250 SX-F while cleaning off dirt and carrying out routine tasks before heading out again. It is especially useful when your day involves several sessions with stops in between.

For this bike, the most useful accessories have a job either on the track or between rides. Start with the areas that matter most to you: protection, control feel and the work you do after each session.
