Accessories for the KTM 390 Adventure R

The KTM 390 Adventure R is an adventure bike for riding on the road and venturing onto unpaved routes. That range of riding makes a difference to the accessories worth fitting. A short ride on rough tracks calls for a different set-up from a trip with luggage and long stretches of tarmac. Luggage, wind protection and secure footing each play a distinct part in making the bike work for your plans.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 390 Adventure R

• Luggage: cases give you room to organise your kit for trips that mix road miles with tracks. Keeping essentials packed separately can make stops easier, particularly when you are travelling for more than a day.
• Screens: wind protection matters most on the road sections between trails. If those stretches take up a sizeable part of your ride, a screen can make sustained riding more comfortable without changing the adventurous purpose of the bike.
• Footpegs: your footing becomes especially important when you stand up over uneven ground. Footpegs also affect how naturally you move between standing and sitting as a route changes from tracks to tarmac.
• Crash protection: guards and protectors suit a bike that may encounter loose surfaces, awkward low-speed manoeuvres or uneven places to stop. They are particularly relevant when your riding regularly takes you beyond paved roads.
• Exhausts: these appeal if you want to change the sound or finish of your 390 Adventure R. They serve a different purpose from luggage or protection and can be part of a more individual approach to setting up the bike.

Choosing between the 2025 and 2026 versions

The KTM 390 Adventure R has changed between the 2025 and 2026 versions, so you should not assume that items such as screens, luggage or footpegs fit both. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours. It is a useful first step whether you are preparing for a longer journey or focusing on how the bike feels on rougher routes.

You will find accessories from brands including SW-Motech, Puig, Ixil and Givi, covering different ways to prepare the bike for the riding you actually do.
