Accessories for the KTM 450EXC-R

The KTM 450EXC-R is an enduro bike at home on trails and unpaved routes, where riding can shift quickly from open sections to tight, technical ground. That mix shapes which accessories are useful. Protection matters when the surface gets rough, the controls need to feel manageable when you are working the bike through a tricky section, and rearward visibility matters when your route includes a stretch of road. The right additions reflect how you ride rather than simply changing how the bike looks.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 450EXC-R

Trail riding places different demands on a bike from a long road journey. For the 450EXC-R, the available accessory types address the moments when the terrain calls for more care or the route takes you back into traffic:

• Protectors: stones, ruts and close vegetation can all bring the bike into contact with its surroundings. Protectors help shield the areas they cover from knocks and scrapes. They make particular sense on rides that include awkward, low-speed sections, where putting a foot down does not always stop the bike from tipping over.
• Levers: tight turns and uneven ground can keep you busy with the clutch and front brake. The reach and feel of a lever affect how readily you can work those controls with your fingers, whether you are seated or standing on the pegs. That makes levers a considered choice for technical riding, not just a visual change.
• Mirrors: a ride that moves between trails and roads asks you to pay attention to what is happening behind you as well as ahead. Mirrors are useful when joining a road, turning or riding among other vehicles. Their value becomes clearer when a trail ride also involves travelling between off-road sections.

Think about the routes you take on your 450EXC-R. Protection and control tend to come to the fore on technical ground, while road sections give rearward visibility a more prominent role.
