Accessories for the KTM 450 EXC Racing

The KTM 450 EXC Racing is an enduro bike made for riding beyond the tarmac, from open trails to more demanding sections. That kind of riding puts the emphasis on protection and control rather than long-distance comfort. There may also be stretches of road between trails, so it is worth thinking about how the bike is used throughout a ride, not just on the roughest ground. The accessories that make sense here follow those practical demands.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 450 EXC Racing

• Protectors: stones, ruts and overhanging branches are familiar obstacles on an enduro ride. Protectors are particularly relevant if your routes take you from wide tracks into tighter, uneven sections where the bike might brush against an obstacle or need to be steadied. Their purpose is closely tied to the ground you ride over.
• Levers: braking and clutch work are constant on technical trails, often while standing on the pegs and wearing gloves. Levers for the KTM 450 EXC Racing matter most when you are negotiating slow turns, climbs or other sections that call for careful input from your fingers. They are among the parts you interact with throughout the ride.
• Mirrors: the trails may be the reason for heading out, but reaching the next one can involve a road link. Mirrors help you keep track of traffic behind you on those stretches. They address a different part of an enduro outing from the protectors and levers, without treating this KTM as a touring bike.

Think about the routes you actually ride: a day spent mostly on tight trails places different demands on the bike from one with longer links between tracks. That distinction can help you decide whether protection, lever use or rearward visibility deserves your attention first.
