Accessories for the KTM 450XCF-W

The KTM 450XCF-W is an enduro bike, so the accessories that make sense for it reflect riding on tracks, trails and technical terrain rather than long stretches of tarmac. Loose stones, narrow paths and frequent changes of pace all place different demands on a bike and its rider. It is worth thinking about where you ride most often: a day spent negotiating rough ground calls for a different emphasis from a route that also links trails by road.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 450XCF-W

• Protectors: when a route takes you through stony sections or tight trails, exposed parts are more likely to meet rocks, branches or the ground. Protection is a sensible starting point for a 450XCF-W used on technical rides, particularly if low-speed manoeuvres are a regular part of your day.
• Levers: accurate brake and clutch control matters when grip varies and you have to adjust your pace repeatedly. Suitable levers can make the controls more comfortable to operate during rides that involve constant corrections, from picking a line through obstacles to slowing for a difficult section.
• Mirrors: these become more relevant if your off-road rides include road sections between trails. Being able to see traffic behind you is useful on those links, even if most of your attention during the day is focused on the ground ahead. How much they matter depends on the routes you actually take.

For this KTM, start with the conditions you encounter regularly. Prioritise protection for rough trails, consider how the controls feel over a full ride, and account for any road riding that forms part of your route.
