Accessories for the KTM 65SX

The KTM 65SX is a motocross bike for younger riders. Time spent learning on dirt, riding over bumps and getting used to jumps puts different demands on it from those of a road bike. Protection and the way the bike responds to uneven ground are therefore more relevant here than luggage or other touring equipment. The right starting point depends on how the rider uses the bike during practice.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 65SX

• Protectors: a small fall during practice or a loss of balance on rough ground can bring exposed parts of the bike into contact with the surface. Protectors help limit that direct contact. They are particularly relevant to a 65SX that is regularly used for training, where learning to handle different sections of a track takes time.
• Suspension: how the bike reacts to bumps and landings affects the feel of a motocross session. Suspension parts are worth considering when the rider's pace changes or practice moves from simple exercises to more varied tracks. The aim is to focus on how the 65SX behaves on the ground it actually rides over.
• Mirrors: these are not a usual priority for riding motocross, but rearward vision may be useful for a particular purpose. Whether a mirror makes sense depends on where and how the bike is being used, rather than on the demands of riding a track.

For the KTM 65SX from 2019 to 2026, this page brings those accessory types together. If the bike is being prepared for regular practice, protection is a sensible first consideration; suspension can then be considered in light of the rider's experience and the surfaces they ride.
