Accessories for KTM 65XC

Accessories for the KTM 65XC

The accessories available for the KTM 65XC focus on protecting exposed areas and making preparation easier. If you ride it on dirt, contact with the ground and low-speed manoeuvres are more relevant considerations than carrying luggage. It is also worth thinking about how you support the bike while working on it between rides, and how the controls feel in your hands. This page covers accessories for model years 2004 to 2011.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 65XC

What makes sense depends on where you ride and what you do with the bike between outings. These accessories address different parts of that routine:

• Protectors: a sensible starting point when the 65XC is ridden on dirt. They help shield the areas they are designed for from scuffs and contact associated with that use, whether you are riding or manoeuvring the bike at low speed.
• Levers: the feel of the controls matters when braking and changing pace repeatedly. The right lever lets you consider hand position on the KTM and how comfortable the control is to operate throughout a ride, rather than treating it as an afterthought.
• Stands and side stands: supporting the bike makes between-ride jobs more manageable, from cleaning off dirt to giving it a visual check. This is especially useful if you spend time preparing the 65XC before taking it out again.
• Mirrors: if you use the bike in a shared riding area, they help you keep track of what is behind you without relying solely on turning your head. Their usefulness depends on where you ride, rather than on dirt-riding preparation itself.

Start with the job you most often need to do: protecting the bike while riding, supporting it while you work, or getting the controls to feel right. Each points to a different accessory.
