Accessories for the KTM 660SMC

The KTM 660SMC is a supermoto for riders who enjoy an involved ride, from negotiating town streets to linking bends on the open road. Its appeal lies in that active style of riding rather than covering long distances with luggage. That makes a difference to the accessories worth considering: protection for exposed areas, levers that feel right at the controls and practical support when the bike is parked all have a clear place here.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 660SMC

Think about the moments that make up a typical ride on your 660SMC: repeated stops in town, frequent changes of direction and a return to the garage afterwards. These are the accessory types that relate most directly to those moments:

• Protectors: a supermoto used for tight turns and everyday manoeuvres can benefit from attention to its exposed areas. Protection will not make a bike immune to damage, but it may lessen the consequences of an awkward low-speed drop or a mishap while moving it around.
• Levers: using the brake and clutch is a constant part of riding the 660SMC through traffic and into bends. The way the levers feel under your fingers matters when those inputs come in quick succession, so they are a relevant detail on a bike ridden in this lively way.
• Stands and side stands: the time spent off the road matters too. Whether you are parking the 660SMC between journeys or tending to it at home, the appropriate type of support can make those stationary moments more convenient and help keep the bike steady while you work.

Protection and levers relate to what happens during a ride; stands come into their own when the engine is off. That distinction is a useful starting point when deciding what your 660SMC needs.
