Accessories for the KTM 690 Duke R

The KTM 690 Duke R is a sports-focused naked bike suited to winding roads as well as everyday journeys. How you divide your time between those rides helps shape a useful accessory setup: comfortable contact points for cornering, protection for exposed areas and some wind relief for the faster roads between your favourite bends.

What riders usually fit to the KTM 690 Duke R

• Handlebars and levers: hand position matters when working through a series of bends. These parts let you tailor your riding position and reach to the controls, while frequent braking and clutch use make lever choice relevant to urban riding too.
• Footrests: secure foot support contributes to a settled position on twisting roads. Consider them alongside the handlebars rather than in isolation: together, these contact points influence how you sit and position yourself on the Duke R during a spirited ride.
• Protectors and crash bobbins: these can help limit damage to the areas they cover in a low-speed fall. For a naked bike that also tackles traffic and parking manoeuvres, they serve a practical purpose beyond changing its appearance.
• Screens: a screen can take some wind pressure off your upper body on faster stretches. It is a useful addition when a day on the Duke R involves longer journeys to reach the winding roads, rather than just short local rides.
• Number plate holders: these offer a way to change the rear-end finish in keeping with the Duke R’s sporting character. Their appeal is mainly visual, rather than improving comfort on longer journeys.

The KTM 690 Duke R has changed over the years, with versions covering 2010-2011, 2013, 2014-2015 and 2016-2017. Parts such as screens, levers and footrests do not fit every version interchangeably. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
