Accessories for the Kymco Downtown 200i

The Kymco Downtown 200i is a scooter suited to everyday urban journeys as well as rides on faster roads. That mix can mean repeated stops in traffic, stretches at a steadier pace and time spent parked between trips. The accessories available for this model address two practical parts of that routine: braking and protection from the weather. Which matters most will depend on when and where you ride, and on where you leave the scooter afterwards.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco Downtown 200i

• Brakes: riding the Downtown 200i through town involves slowing for junctions, traffic lights and queues, often several times on a single journey. Brakes deserve particular attention when the scooter is used regularly for those journeys and then taken onto quicker roads. This category covers brake accessories for the model; Braking is among the accessory brands represented for the Downtown 200i.
• Covers and leg covers: colder or wet journeys can make protection from the elements more relevant than it might seem on a short fair-weather ride. A leg cover can help shield your legs in the seated riding position typical of a scooter, especially if you travel at times when temperatures are lower. For a Downtown 200i parked outdoors between rides, a cover serves a different purpose by keeping the scooter covered while it is not in use. Tucano Urbano is another accessory brand represented for this model.

Think about the pattern of your journeys rather than treating every ride alike. Frequent town stops put the focus on braking; early starts, evening journeys and outdoor parking make weather protection more useful. Both categories relate to how the Downtown 200i fits into day-to-day travel.
