Accessories for the Kymco DT X350

The Kymco DT X350 is a scooter suited to everyday journeys as well as rides out of town. How you split your time between busy streets and open roads makes a difference to the accessories worth fitting. On a daily commute, parking and low-speed manoeuvres may be your main concerns; on a longer ride, wind exposure and carrying your belongings can matter more. The aim is to equip the scooter for the journeys you actually make, rather than treating every ride as though it had the same demands.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco DT X350

A few well-chosen additions can make the DT X350 more practical across those different journeys. The accessory types below address particular aspects of riding and parking this scooter:

• Screens: help deflect wind from your upper body when a trip takes you beyond town streets. That can be especially welcome on ring roads and longer stretches where you spend more time riding at a steady pace.
• Protectors: suit the stop-start routine of a scooter used around town, with kerbs, parking spaces and tight low-speed manoeuvres all part of the day. They focus on areas you may want to shield from everyday knocks and scuffs.
• Security locks: make sense if your DT X350 is parked at different stops during a commute or a day of errands. Artago and Urban are among the accessory brands available for this model.
• Luggage cases: give you a way to carry personal items when you head further afield, leaving you less dependent on a bag over your shoulders for the whole ride.
• Handlebar accessories: let you tailor details around the riding position. This is worth considering if your time on the DT X350 includes both short urban hops and longer periods in the saddle.

Start with the journeys you make most often: the priorities for repeated city stops need not be the same as those for a day out on the road.
