Accessories for the Kymco People S 200i

The Kymco People S 200i is a scooter suited to everyday travel around town. For a bike used this way, frequent stops, street parking and changing weather often matter more than the occasional weekend ride. The accessories you fit can make the daily journey more comfortable and help look after the scooter when you leave it parked.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco People S 200i

• Protectors: useful on a scooter that is regularly parked and manoeuvred in busy streets. They help shield exposed areas from scuffs and minor knocks, particularly if your usual stops involve tight parking spaces or crowded pavements.
• Phone mounts: handy when the People S 200i takes you to different addresses throughout the day. Keeping directions in view means fewer stops just to work out which turning comes next.
• Windscreens: offer shelter from airflow on routine journeys. They are worth considering if your route takes in faster roads as well as town streets, or if you ride regularly through the colder months.
• Security locks: a sensible consideration when the scooter is left outside while you are at work, shopping or running errands. Artago and Urban are among the accessory brands available for this model.
• Covers and leg covers: a cover helps shelter a People S 200i that spends time parked outdoors, while a leg cover can make cold-weather commuting more comfortable. Which matters most depends on whether you spend more time riding or leaving the scooter outside.

For a People S 200i from 2007 to 2015, start with your regular route and where you usually park. That makes it easier to decide whether weather protection, security or help with navigation will make the biggest difference to your routine.
