Accessories for the Kymco Super 8 50

The Kymco Super 8 50 is a scooter suited to everyday town riding, where short journeys often come with frequent stops. That pattern of use is worth keeping in mind when choosing accessories. Some make time on the move more comfortable or help with directions; others are useful when the scooter is parked. Rather than fitting things for a journey you rarely make, start with the streets you ride and the places where you usually leave it.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco Super 8 50

• Protectors: urban riding involves plenty of parking and low-speed manoeuvres. Protectors help shield the areas they are designed for, making them worth considering if you regularly move your Super 8 50 into a tight space outside home or work.
• Phone mounts: having your phone in view is useful when you are navigating unfamiliar streets or making several stops across town. A mount lets you follow directions as you ride, rather than taking the phone out at every change of route.
• Security locks: a scooter used for errands may be parked more than once in a day. Think about the stops you make most often and how you will use a lock there, whether you are away from the scooter briefly or for longer.
• Screens: these can deflect some of the air coming towards you as you ride. On the Super 8 50, a screen is worth considering if your regular route includes more open roads as well as built-up streets.

Your daily route offers a useful way to weigh up these choices. Consider the riding itself, the number of stops and where the scooter spends its time between journeys; each points to a different kind of accessory.
