Accessories for the Kymco Super9 50

The Kymco Super9 50 is a scooter well suited to everyday journeys around town. When a bike is used this way, finding a place to park, working out an unfamiliar route and riding through exposed stretches of road can matter more than packing for a long trip. That gives you a practical way to think about accessories for the Super9 50: focus on what makes regular journeys easier, what helps look after the scooter and what makes time in the saddle more comfortable.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco Super9 50

• Protectors: daily use means plenty of low-speed manoeuvring, especially when getting into a parking space or moving the scooter through a tight spot. Protectors are worth considering for areas exposed during those moments. If the Super9 50 is your regular way of getting about, it makes sense to think about the repeated stops and parking manoeuvres as well as the actual ride.
• Phone mounts: finding an address across town is simpler when you can glance at directions rather than stopping to check your phone. A mount is particularly useful on the Super9 50 if your journeys take you to different destinations throughout the day, rather than along the same familiar route. Set up directions before you ride, so the phone can serve as a navigation aid without becoming something to handle on the move.
• Screens: a screen can take some of the direct airflow off the rider, which can make a difference when short journeys are repeated day after day. On this scooter, the appeal is straightforward comfort rather than turning it into a long-distance touring bike. It is especially relevant if your usual route includes open roads as well as sheltered town streets.

Parking, navigating and dealing with the wind are different parts of the same everyday ride. Thinking about which one affects you most helps you decide where an accessory would be most useful.
