Accessories for the Kymco Xciting 500R

The Kymco Xciting 500R is a scooter suited to everyday town riding as well as journeys that take you onto faster roads. That mix of uses makes a difference to what is worth fitting. Protection matters when you regularly park and manoeuvre in tight spaces; a clear view of your route helps on unfamiliar streets; and managing the airflow becomes more relevant as your journeys get longer. Start with the sort of riding you actually do rather than treating every trip alike.

What riders usually fit to the Kymco Xciting 500R

• Protectors: useful when your daily ride involves crowded parking areas or moving the scooter around a garage. They help look after exposed parts during the small knocks and scrapes that can happen while manoeuvring, without changing how you use the bike day to day.
• Phone mounts: keep navigation within sight when a journey takes you from local streets onto ring roads or out of town. That is particularly handy if you use the Xciting 500R for both familiar commutes and routes where you need directions.
• Security locks: worth considering if the scooter spends time parked while you work or run errands. Think about the places where you normally leave it and how long you stop for, so securing it fits naturally into your routine.
• Screens: help with airflow when you spend more time on the road than in stop-start traffic. For a scooter used on longer runs as well as in town, that can make sustained riding more comfortable from its seated riding position.

If most of your journeys stay in town, protection, navigation and parking security may take priority. Regular road trips give the screen a stronger case; the right combination follows how you ride your Xciting 500R.
