Accessories for the Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport

The Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport is a road bike with a sporty character, suited to winding rides as well as longer journeys. That range of uses gives you different reasons to fit an accessory or replace a part. A mirror can affect how you keep track of traffic behind you, while a filter or brake component belongs to routine upkeep. What matters most depends on whether you spend your time riding, maintaining the bike or leaving it parked between outings.

What riders usually fit to the Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport

• Mirrors: these can change both your view to the rear and the look of the 1200 Sport. On a flowing road, being able to keep an eye on following traffic without taking your attention away from the next bend makes their position particularly relevant.
• Covers and blankets: worth considering if your road rides are separated by stretches when the bike is parked. Depending on the item, they can help keep it sheltered between outings, addressing a different need from the parts you rely on while riding.
• Filters: useful to bear in mind when planning maintenance, especially if the 1200 Sport sees regular use for rides or everyday journeys. They sit in a different category from changes to its appearance: their place is in looking after the bike over time.
• Brakes: this section is relevant when it is time to replace components as part of maintenance. Before heading out on a route with plenty of bends, it makes sense to give the condition of the braking system as much thought as the accessories fitted to the bike.

For a 2006 or 2007 1200 Sport, start with the way you actually use it. Regular road miles, occasional rides and time spent parked each point to different priorities among these accessories and maintenance parts.
