Accessories for the Moto Guzzi California Touring 1400

The Moto Guzzi California Touring 1400 is a touring cruiser suited to unhurried miles on the road and journeys that last more than a day. For a bike used in this way, choosing accessories is not only about what you take on a ride. Routine upkeep matters too, as does looking after the bike when it is parked between trips. For the 2012–2020 model, the available accessory types reflect those different parts of ownership.

What riders usually fit to the Moto Guzzi California Touring 1400

Brakes, covers and filters each have a distinct role here. One relates to the changing pace of a day on the road, another to the time the bike spends waiting for its next outing, and the third to maintenance around regular riding or longer journeys.

• Brakes: a trip on the California Touring 1400 can take you from open roads into slower traffic and town streets. Keeping its brakes in good order is part of preparing for that mix of riding. Braking is among the accessory brands offering parts of this type for the model.
• Covers: touring does not mean riding every day. A cover can keep dust off the bike while it is parked between journeys, without changing anything about it when you are out on the road. If it will be parked outdoors, the cover needs to be intended for outdoor use.
• Filters: maintenance is easier to plan when it is not left until the morning of a trip. Filters are worth considering alongside the servicing you arrange around your riding, whether you mostly take shorter outings or set aside several days to travel on the California Touring 1400.

The useful choice depends on what is coming next for your bike: time on the road, a scheduled maintenance job or a spell parked up before the next ride.
