Accessories for the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone 850

The Moto Guzzi V7 Stone 850 is a classic-styled naked bike suited to everyday journeys and relaxed rides along winding roads. Setting it up for a short commute calls for different priorities from preparing it for a weekend away. Wind protection, luggage space and riding position are useful starting points, depending on how much time your V7 spends in town and how far you venture beyond it.

What riders usually fit to the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone 850

• Screens: wind exposure becomes more noticeable on a naked bike when a leisurely outing turns into a longer road trip. A screen helps deflect some of that airflow, particularly on the motorway stretches between home and the quieter roads you want to explore.
• Phone mounts: keeping navigation directions in view is useful when your V7 takes you across town or along an unfamiliar country route. A mount also saves you having to retrieve your phone from a pocket whenever you stop to check the way.
• Protectors and crash bars: daily use brings parking spaces, tight turns and low-speed manoeuvres into the picture. These accessories help limit damage from a fall, making them worth considering for a V7 used around town as well as for weekends on the road.
• Luggage: carrying clothes and overnight essentials on the bike rather than on your back makes sense when taking the V7 away for a few days. Luggage space becomes particularly valuable with a pillion, when two people's belongings need to be accommodated.
• Handlebars: hand position is part of how comfortable you feel during both stop-start commuting and longer countryside rides. When adapting the V7's riding position, the handlebars deserve attention, especially if your regular riding mixes urban journeys with extended days out.
