Accessories for the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer

The Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer is a custom bike suited to unhurried rides, from an afternoon on familiar roads to a longer trip. That makes luggage and protection worth considering alongside parts that change its appearance. What you fit depends on whether you usually ride with little more than your essentials or want to take what you need for time away. There is no reason to approach a short ride and a multi-day journey in quite the same way.

What riders usually fit to the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer

These accessory types suit different ways of using the V9 Roamer on the road:

• Panniers: give you room for clothing and everyday items when a leisurely ride turns into a trip with an overnight stop. Keeping those belongings on the bike rather than on your back can make longer stretches of road more comfortable.
• Crash protectors and guards: are worth considering if your rides include town traffic, parking and low-speed manoeuvres as well as open roads. They are intended to help protect particular parts of the bike in the event of a knock or a fall, rather than prevent damage altogether.
• Exhausts: offer a way to change the Roamer’s look and, depending on the part, its sound. On a custom bike used for relaxed road riding, those details can matter as much to the experience as what you carry, without changing the kind of riding you enjoy.
• Filters: belong on the list if you are looking beyond luggage and protection to the bike’s upkeep. They are a practical consideration whether your V9 Roamer mostly makes short local journeys or regularly goes further afield.

Start with the rides you actually make: carrying belongings, protecting exposed areas and changing the bike’s character are different priorities. Keeping that distinction in mind helps you focus on the parts you will use.
