Accessories for the Moto Morini X-Cape 650

The Moto Morini X-Cape 650 is an adventure bike suited to road rides, touring and excursions along easier trails. That range of uses makes accessory choices more than a matter of appearance. Wind protection and luggage space come into their own on longer journeys, while protective parts make sense when a ride takes you away from clean tarmac. If you also use the bike for everyday trips, it is worth thinking about how each addition fits that routine.

What riders usually fit to the Moto Morini X-Cape 650

• Protectors: useful when a route mixes tarmac with loose surfaces, where grit and small stones can reach exposed areas. They suit an X-Cape 650 used for exploring beyond the usual paved roads.
• Screens: the upright riding position leaves wind protection particularly noticeable during sustained road riding. A screen is therefore a practical consideration if getting to your favourite routes involves a long motorway stretch.
• Luggage: cases provide room for clothing and the things you need over several days without putting them all in a backpack. They also make the bike more useful when a touring trip includes stops along the way.
• Crash protection: guards and sliders are worth considering for slow manoeuvres, especially when the bike is loaded or you are stopping on uneven ground. That is a different job from shielding exposed parts against debris thrown up while riding.
• Lighting: relevant if your trips begin before daylight or continue towards dusk. On an adventure bike used for full days out, planning for changing light conditions can matter as much as planning the route.
• Exhausts: an option if you want to change the bike's sound and feel while keeping the focus on road and touring use. They sit alongside the more practical additions rather than replacing them.

For longer rides, a screen, luggage and protection make a sensible starting point. For shorter outings, the accessories that match your usual roads may be enough.
