Accessories for the Piaggio MP3 500 i.e. Sport

The Piaggio MP3 500 i.e. Sport is a three-wheeled scooter suited to everyday journeys as well as longer rides on the road. That mix of urban travel and time outside town shapes what is worth fitting. Security matters when you park during the day; wind protection and luggage become more useful when a short commute turns into a longer journey. Think, too, about whether you ride throughout the colder months or leave the scooter outdoors.

What riders usually fit to the Piaggio MP3 500 i.e. Sport

• Protectors: useful on a scooter that regularly navigates tight parking spaces, kerbs and busy streets. They help shield exposed areas from the knocks and scrapes that can come with daily use.
• Security locks: worth considering if the MP3 spends part of each working day parked on the street. A lock from a brand such as Artago can become part of your usual parking routine.
• Screens: help take some of the wind off you on faster roads, especially when you ride in cooler weather. They can also make a difference if your regular route alternates between city streets and open roads.
• Luggage cases: give you somewhere to carry work essentials, waterproofs or kit for a weekend ride, rather than wearing a bag throughout the journey.
• Covers and leg covers: address different needs for year-round scooter use: a leg cover offers shelter while riding in cold weather, while a cover helps protect the MP3 when it is parked outside.

Finding parts for your MP3’s year

The MP3 500 i.e. Sport has changed over time, with versions covering 2012-2016, 2017 and 2018-2022. As a result, protectors, screens and luggage cases do not necessarily fit every version. Choose your scooter’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours. This matters whether you are replacing something already fitted or setting the scooter up for a different kind of journey.
