Accessories for the Piaggio MP3 500 Sport Advanced

The Piaggio MP3 500 Sport Advanced is a three-wheeled scooter suited to everyday journeys as well as trips on the open road. That mix of riding calls for accessories with different jobs: looking after exposed areas during city use, taking some of the wind off the rider over longer distances, and making parking part of the routine. What matters most will depend on whether you mainly cross town or regularly ride further afield.

What riders usually fit to the Piaggio MP3 500 Sport Advanced

• Protectors: Busy streets, tight parking spaces and garage manoeuvres all put the scooter’s exposed areas in mind. Protectors are worth considering if much of your riding involves those surroundings, particularly where a part needs to sit neatly against the bodywork.
• Security locks: A scooter used for commuting may be parked at several stops in one day. A lock from Artago or Urban can become part of that everyday routine, whether you are leaving the MP3 briefly or parking it for longer.
• Screens: A screen can take the edge off the airflow on faster roads. If your journeys alternate between traffic and longer stretches out of town, consider how much wind protection you want for the riding you actually do.
• Covers and leg covers: A cover is useful when the scooter is parked outdoors, while a leg cover is particularly relevant for frequent rides in colder weather. They address different parts of year-round use: time spent riding and time spent parked.

Choosing parts for your MP3 500 Sport Advanced’s year

The scooter has changed across the 2013-2020 and 2021-2022 versions. As a result, items such as protectors and screens do not necessarily fit every year. Choose your scooter’s year on this page to see only parts that fit yours; it is especially relevant for accessories mounted around the bodywork.

Think about where the MP3 spends most of its time, on the move or parked, before deciding which of these additions will be most useful to you.
