Accessories for the Piaggio Skipper 150 SKR

The Piaggio Skipper 150 SKR is a scooter suited to getting around town, with the option of taking longer rides beyond the city. That mixture of journeys shapes which accessories are useful: frequent stops and parking call for one kind of addition, finding your way through unfamiliar streets another, and riding at a steady pace on open roads a third. Here, the focus is on protection, phone mounting and shelter from the wind.

What riders usually fit to the Piaggio Skipper 150 SKR

Rather than treating every ride the same way, think about where the Skipper spends its time. The following accessory types address different parts of everyday scooter use:

• Protectors: busy streets mean low-speed manoeuvres, tight spaces and regular parking. Protectors help shield exposed areas from scuffs and minor contact. They make particular sense for a Skipper used for daily errands or commuting, where what happens while parking matters as much as the ride itself.
• Phone mounts: a mount gives your phone a place when you need directions across town or towards an unfamiliar destination. That is useful on a scooter used for a mix of familiar routes and occasional trips somewhere new: you can follow the route without repeatedly retrieving your phone from a pocket when you stop.
• Screens: once you leave stop-start traffic behind, wind becomes more noticeable over a sustained ride. A screen helps divert some of that airflow away from the rider. For a Skipper that regularly ventures onto roads outside town, it addresses a different need from the accessories aimed at short urban journeys.

For a Piaggio Skipper 150 SKR from 1993 to 1999, start with the journeys you actually make. Town riding, unfamiliar routes and longer stretches of road each point towards a different way to equip your scooter.
