Accessories for the Piaggio X8 200

The Piaggio X8 200 is a scooter suited to everyday journeys around town and trips on the road beyond it. Regular stops, outdoor parking and longer stretches in the saddle all shape what is worth fitting. Accessories for this scooter are as much about the time it spends parked as the time you spend riding it.

What riders usually fit to the Piaggio X8 200

• Security locks: If your X8 200 is left outside during the working day or while you run errands, securing it becomes part of the daily routine. Options from brands such as Artago and Urban are relevant to those frequent stops away from home.
• Screens: A journey across town can turn into a longer run on faster roads, where wind becomes more noticeable. A screen helps take some of that airflow off the rider, making it easier to settle into the ride rather than brace against it.
• Covers and leg covers: A scooter used throughout the week may spend hours parked outdoors and still be called upon when temperatures drop. This category addresses those two familiar situations: looking after it while parked and making cold-weather journeys more comfortable.
• Exhausts: For some riders, changing the exhaust is about the look or sound of their Piaggio X8 200. It is worth thinking about how that choice will feel on both short urban hops and the longer rides you make outside town.
• Handlebars: Filtering through traffic, turning into side streets and manoeuvring at low speed keep your hands busy. The handlebar is therefore a natural area to consider if you want the riding position to feel right on your usual journeys.

Think about where your X8 200 spends most of its time: on the road, in stop-start traffic or parked between journeys. That gives you a useful starting point for deciding which accessories matter most.
