Accessories for the Piaggio X8 400

The Piaggio X8 400 is a scooter suited to everyday journeys around town as well as rides on the open road. Those different settings put different demands on the accessories you fit. Brakes matter in stop-start traffic, while wind protection becomes more noticeable as journeys get longer and speeds stay steady. An exhaust is another way to change how the scooter sounds and looks. Thinking about where you ride most often helps you decide which of these areas deserves your attention first.

What riders usually fit to the Piaggio X8 400

• Brakes: a journey on the X8 400 can involve frequent stops in town followed by stretches of faster road. Brake components, including those from Braking, are relevant to both parts of that ride. They are a natural area to focus on if this scooter is part of your daily commute rather than an occasional weekend outing.
• Screens: the wind feels different on a short trip across town and on a longer ride beyond it. A screen changes the airflow reaching your upper body, so it is particularly worth considering if you regularly use the X8 400 for sustained road journeys and want to tailor its wind protection to that routine.
• Exhausts: an exhaust can give the X8 400 a different sound and visual character. For a scooter used on familiar commuting routes as well as longer rides, it makes sense to think about how that sound will feel on the journeys you actually make, rather than judging the exhaust on appearance alone.

Town traffic and longer road stretches highlight different aspects of the ride. If your X8 400 does both, braking and wind protection are useful starting points; the exhaust offers a different kind of change, centred on sound and appearance.
