Accessories for the Segway E125S

The Segway E125S is an electric scooter suited to getting around town. That means a day on it may involve several short rides, stops along the way and time parked between journeys. Accessories for this sort of use need to make sense both when the scooter is moving and when it is left outside. Rather than focusing on long-distance touring, it is worth thinking about security, exposure to the weather and the points you use to control the bike.

What riders usually fit to the Segway E125S

For a 2022 E125S, the most relevant accessories address familiar parts of a town journey: parking up, riding in changing conditions and manoeuvring through busy streets. These are the types available here and why they are worth considering.

• Security locks: If you leave your E125S while you run errands, go to work or make another stop, a lock is a useful part of your parking routine. Town riding often means securing the scooter more than once in a day. An anti-theft accessory helps you address those repeated stops rather than thinking only about the ride itself.
• Covers and leg covers: This category is relevant when your E125S sees regular use through different seasons. Depending on the item, it can help protect the parked scooter from the elements or make a cold journey more comfortable. Short urban rides still involve time spent outdoors, and where you park can matter as much as the length of the trip.
• Handlebar accessories: The handlebar is where you steer and manage the E125S through turns, junctions and parking manoeuvres. It is a natural area to consider when setting up a scooter for frequent town use. Think of this category in terms of your everyday interaction with the bike, particularly on routes with repeated stops and changes of direction.

How often you park away from shelter, and the weather you normally ride in, are useful starting points for deciding what matters most. They keep the focus on the journeys you actually make on your E125S.
